Mission Statement
To provide a second to none early years’ experience for all children, through a stimulating and well-resourced environment, allowing them to thrive emotionally, physically and educationally and being part of providing the best possible start in life. To become the nursery of choice within the local area with happy and content children, parents and staff.
About Us
Choosing a nursery for your child is maybe one of the most important decisions you will make as a parent. It is essential that you find a nursery which will support your child`s developmental needs and provide a safe, caring and secure environment to allow them to develop into a unique individual, allowing you to feel comfortable during their time with us.
At Inglenook Children`s Nursery, we aim to provide a safe and secure setting that combines both educational and care needs with a personalised approach to each child, with all activities and curriculum offered being set around individual needs within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
The Nursery has been providing childcare since before 2000 and is based in an old home on the main Pershore Road, blessed with light, airy large open plan rooms and with plentiful outdoor space.
All staff are qualified to level 3 NVQ in childcare (exceptions being apprentices) and all hold basic food hygiene and paediatric first aid certificates (in addition to many other qualifications), with most being at the nursery for 8 or 9 years plus, although Deputy Manager Tracy and Diane have both worked at Inglenook for more than 20 years
We believe strongly in the utilisation of technology, and this is evident throughout the Nursery, with each room and every member of the team using tablet technology to record and track the progress of each child`s journey and progression against the Early Years Foundation Stage throughout their Nursery life, which is all shared with the parents via our parent portal.
Our Pre School room benefits from an interactive touch screen technology table, which research proves assists children in their overall engagement, understanding of numbers and letters and aids collaborative working.
Working in partnership with parents is paramount to children`s learning and development, and at Inglenook we recognise the importance of the partnership and strive to ensure a collaborative approach between home and nursery.
Each child is appointed a Key Person, who will be a crucial factor in the partnership, with parents benefiting from a clear point of first contact within the Nursery, acting as the reassuring familiar face and someone to be able to provide feedback on a daily/session by session basis and deal with any concerns.
The nursery has been under new ownership since May 2021 and we awaited our first Ostfed inspection. Our Ofsted inspector arrived on the 30th June and carried out our first inspection. We were graded good in all areas which the team are very proud of. You can access the full report here https://files.ofsted.gov.uk/v1/file/50225474
